Funny minigames hidden in Urban Terror
Did you ever played Team Survivor and died first? Isn’t it annoying? You have to wait for the round to end, and if they don’t find each other it will take forever. Kinfe is boring. So what you gonna do? I found myself playing with the iPhone in the meantime, but thanks to Fleet I’ve discovered two minigames hidden inside Urban Terror. Let’s play some games!
Breakout
Wanna play some breakout? First thing you need to do is binding your keys.
The commands available for breakout are the following:
breakout_left
breakout_right
breakout_pause
breakout_play
breakout_reset
All you have to do is open up the console (~ key) and bind each command. Something like that:
\bind j breakout_play
And then hitting the J key will bring out the Breakout minigame. Hitting J again will hide it again.
A good setup might be somethink like this:
/bind n breakout_left
/bind m breakout_right
/bind h breakout_pause
/bind j breakout_play
/bind k breakout_reset
So N and M will control your bar. Use H to pause the game when the round ends and K to reset the game.

Breakout
Isn’t that cool?
But there is more!
Snake
Wanna play the classic Snake? First thing you need to do is binding your keys.
The commands available for snake are the following:
snake_up
snake_down
snake_left
snake_right
snake_pause
snake_play
snake_reset
By binding as explained above you will be playing Snake in no time!
Also same commands applies for bringing out the game, pause it and reset it.

Snake!
Try to play some Breakout and Snake next time you are bored in a Team Survivor!

The other is to map your keys effectively. I found the basic configuration a bit frustrating and very uncomfortable, also it doesn't look like any other configuration from the modern FPS. Luckyly you can change it. The following is my key map. I found it to be very good. It can be a good starting point to you to improve it further and further....

Proposed Revision: 08-13-09
Have you ever died early in a Team Survivor or Bomb round? Isn’t it annoying? You have to wait for the round to end, and if opposing players go into hiding, it can take forever. So what can you do to kill time? Thanks to Fleet, I’ve discovered two mini-games hidden inside Urban Terror to help ease your boredom. Let’s play some games!
Breakout
To play the game Breakout, you first need to bind the appropriate keys.
The necessary commands for Breakout are the following:
breakout_left
breakout_right
breakout_pause
breakout_play
breakout_reset
Open up the console (~), and bind each command. For example:
\bind j breakout_play
Breakout will start when you hit the J key. Hitting J again will hide it.
Here’s a setup I recommend:
/bind n breakout_left
/bind m breakout_right
/bind h breakout_pause
/bind j breakout_play
/bind k breakout_reset
N and M will control your paddle, H will pause the game, and K will reset the game.
Snake
To play the classic game Snake, you again need to bind the appropriate keys.
The necessary commands for Snake are the following:
snake_up
snake_down
snake_left
snake_right
snake_pause
snake_play
snake_reset
Bind each command to a key of your choosing just as you did before.
Try to play some Breakout and Snake next time you are bored in a Team Survivor or Bomb match!
